Detalhe do caso

Northside Family Pharmacy is a community pharmacy in Minneapolis. Its pharmacist Amara wanted patients to collect medicines after closing time, so the store added a Winnsen smart pharmacy vending machine beside the entrance.

The machine holds medicine boxes in a locked cabinet and delivers each order with a smart elevator, so nothing is dropped. Patients enter a pickup code on the touchscreen, pay by card, QR code or mobile wallet and collect the order from an electronic door. An open API and SDK let the store connect pharmacy software and control which items are released.

Within five months it handled the evening and weekend refills that used to wait until morning. The pharmacist reviews every list before release, and the cloud platform tracks stock levels and expiry dates.

Can a pharmacy vending machine work after regular hours? This case shows that it can. It needs a power supply, a small floor space and one daily restock.

Winnsen has designed and built vending machines and lockers since 2006 and has delivered certified products to more than 100 countries.
